TOP 10 album 2008 (in my playlist)

it will be 2009 in just a few hours

and now i think its time for me to make a list of the best album in 2008

its mostly an album by an indie musician. If you dont know about them yet, i suggest you to check their songs. Believe me, i have a good taste of music ;)

1. Laura Marling - Alas i cannot swim
(indie-folk, acoustic, singer-songwriter)
This album always shows up on almost every '2008 Top Album list'
why? because she's 18 and got a Mercury Prize
best track : Ghost, Night Terror, My manic and I

2. UH HUH HER - Common Reaction
(Electro-pop)
Actress Leisha Hailey and Camila Grey in a duo project. Its an album full of catchy songs and a beat that'll make you want to dance.
best track : Not A Love Song, Explode

3. Amanda Palmer - Who Killed Amanda Palmer
(indie, punk-cabaret, singer-songwriter)
Its Amanda Palmer from The Dresden Dolls, everyone! This solo project album, sounds like The Dresdens Dolls but less-drum and more piano
best track : Runs in the family, Leeds United, Guitar Hero

4. Rachael Yamagata - Elephant... teeth sinking into heart
(singer-songwriter, dark-pop, piano)
Finally, a few years after Happenstance, She's released her second album in 2008. Elephant contain more dark and mellow songs. Teth Sinking into heart contain a powerful-rocky songs

5. Coeur de Pirate - Coeur de Pirate
(female vocalist, french, piano)
Coeur de Pirate is 18 year old Béatrice Martin who has played the piano from the age of three. In March 2007, after five years of music education, she started composing her own songs. Members of Bonjour Brumaire noticed her and asked her to join their group as singer and keyboardist. This spring Béatrice left the group to concentrate on Coeur de Pirate, her solo project. With only four concerts to its credit, Coeur de Pirate has gotten its fame mainly on Myspace. Her first self-titled album “Coeur de Pirate” was released September 16 on Grosse Boite records.
